The wings on these seeds are very aerodynamic.

They kept blowing away when I tried to take the photos.

Hint:  The flowers that produce these are purple.

Any guesses?

Edit:  the answer is now up.

  1. Karen Said,

Purple flowers … well that certainly narrows it right down!

  2. Roberta Said,

Okay, it is a tree, does that help? LOL!

  3. Karen Said,

Purple flowers on a tree … is wisteria a tree? I don’t think so, it’s a vine (don’t ya love the way I answer myself!). Do plum tree have purple flowers? Wouldn’t it be cool if the blossoms were the color of the fruits? Well, it’s not a plum because plums have pits. A red bud tree? Or mountain laurel? (I love Google!)

  4. Roberta Said,

Okay, sounds like I’m making these too hard. Does anyone else agree?
