Quirkles- Quirky Science At Its Best

Supposed to be working on something else this morning, but when I stumbled on this website, I just had to share it.

The Quirkles promote science and phonics together in a series of books, each featuring a letter that has been transformed into a scientist.

But even better, there are accompanying videos showing easy activities/experiments for kids.

An example:  a fun and messy way to blow bubbles. I can’t wait to try this with some youngsters I know. Doesn’t this look perfect for a science park day or birthday party?

Enjoy!

Mystery Seed of the Week 136

For the next few weeks I will be featuring some plants that are not necessarily found in Arizona.

Technically these are not the seeds, but are drupes.

I’ll explain what that means in the answering post next week.

This is how you often see them.  Any ideas what they are?

Edit:  The answer is now posted.
