A few years ago I found these colorful nymphs on a local cork oak tree.
I figured they were aphids, but I wasn’t sure what kind.
Looking at BugGuide, I found out they are oak aphids in genus Myzocallis.
Given their striking color patterns, I wish I got some better photographs.
